The Main Hall

Situated on the ground floor, the Main Hall is the largest of our rooms. It is a bright and airy space, with a neutral colour palette. This is usually hired with the Community Room for use of the kitchen.

Details of the Room

The Main Hall is a lovely bright and airy room, with high ceilings a neutral colour palette and a lovely new wood floor.

It measures approx 12.2 x 8.4m.

We recommend a comfortable seated for dining capacity of around 90 people, but auditorium style seating can hold many more people.

It is suitable for a whole range of events including weddings, parties, children's parties, race check points - you name it!

The space is naturally very bright, as it has five large windows, however each window does have a blackout blind.

The Bar

The Main Hall benefits from a self-contained bar that is accessed directly from the hall.

For wedding hire, the running and staffing of our bar is included in the hire price. However you are able to request use of the bar for other events such as evening parties for an additional cost.

Please enquire for further details on this.

We offer a large selection of local drinks such as The Lakes Gin in varying flavours and our very own 'Borrowdale Blonde' on draught produced by Tirril Brewery. We also offer prosecco, bottled lager, wine, cider, other spirits and soft drinks alongside this.

There is no kitchen in the Main Hall, however hire of the Main Hall includes the Community Room which houses the kitchen.

There are three points of access for the Main Hall.

One of these is through the adjoining Community Room.

Another is from the car park, through the glass door into the corridor and then into the hall.

Finally the hall can be accessed directly from the road. This entrance takes you through the porch and into the Main Hall. This is a handy space for setting up information for your guests, such as table seating plans.

It is also handy for race checkpoints as it allows people to run straight in from the road.
