A newly renovated village hall nestled in the heart of the Borrowdale Valley

The Borrowdale Institute is a community centre located in Rosthwaite, in the heart of the Borrowdale Valley.

Established over 100 years ago, it has served as the only community hub for farmers and families since its inception. It has been lovingly maintained by local trustees for decades and following a recent campaign to restore the building, the Institute has now been given a well deserved new lease of life.

We have various rooms available to hire to suit a wide range of bookings.

Take a look at our Venue Hire for more information or Contact Us - we would love to hear from you

The need for connection and community is primal, as fundamental as the need for air, water, and food.
